breaking walls

In life… we don’t often get the chance to show the world our inner thoughts, our own conundrums and our solutions for the people around us as well as ourselves. The day has come for our beautiful artists to show Santiago what Breaking Walls is all about!

We have decorated the walls of Centro de Recoleta with color and love, to show the community we care.
We have visited museums dedicated to the victims of a dictatorship to remind ourselves what we fight against. What we speak up for.
We have danced on Chilean streets to show the people that we can all be free and happy if we want to.

I loved every moment of it. But today, I am so excited to see the beautiful work of stories woven together and expressed on stage by these young men and women from Cape Town, Bethlehem, Brooklyn, Detroit, Barcelona, Warsaw and, now, Santiago. After days of hard work and effort, the Breaking Walls artists finally get the chance to share their stories with the beautiful people of Santiago. The performance was a compilation of well placed metaphorical movements to show an organized story. Each artist had the spotlight at some point within the show. With only a few days, they were able to create a human car, house, and much more. To witness this beautiful masterpiece, I ask that you check us out on Facebook! After the performance we had a heartwarming Q&A between the artists and audience. Not only did they receive encouragement to tell their stories in more places around the world, but we also had an audience member that requested to become a member of the movement!
