breaking walls Special Mentor Billie Allen

Our dear friend and mentor, actor, producer, director and change-maker, Billie Allen, passed away on December 29, 2015. Each of our international artists, ambassadors and associate will miss her belief in breaking walls and her guidance on how to create a peaceful, tolerant and trusting global community.
Brooklyn ambassador Tatiana Kee penned these words for Billie’s memorial Celebration:
“A mentor is someone who educates, instructs and inspires another person through their past experience.
“Personally, Billie opened up my eyes to see that I can always give a helping hand when needed. She had once told me that their is always good to be done in this world and to never turn away from those who need a helping hand even when they refuse it. She was a inspiration to all and I will never forget what she has done for me and Breaking Walls. I will always cherish the moments we had shared and the love she gave to me as well as to my fellow artists and ambassadors in Barcelona, Berlin, Bethlehem, Cape Town and soon – Detroit.
“One of the most amazing aspects of Breaking Walls is that when we write and rehearse for our performance together we see that there is only one race, the human race. When I realize this I think of Billie.”
Tatiana’s Good-Bye Poem:
It pains me sometimes
When you have to say goodbye
Goodbye is such a empty message
I know you had no choice
But you left me something important
“continue to help others, so they can continue to help the world”
You may be gone
But you will never be forgotten
The amount of work you put into this world
Will continue on
From my generation to the next
Even though you said goodbye
Your soul and love will forever be with me and others
As we continue our days
Onward with our journeys
This final thought of mine
Will give others a piece of mind
When the final words they hear is
Goodbye
